Scheduling Policy
General Information
Baby's First Choice Lactation Services provides lactation support to clients in the tri-state area: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut. Please speak with our staff regarding specific locations, as not all areas in the tri-state are presently serviceable by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
Please note, clients located in Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Manhattan, areas north of New Rochelle, or Connecticut will incur an additional $20 service charge to offset travel costs.
Client(s) is/are required to provide a valid telephone number and/or email address in order to book with Baby's First Choice Lactation Services. Unless specified otherwise by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, all communications (scheduling or otherwise), between client(s) and Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, will take place exclusively through the agreed upon method identified above.
Client(s) is/are asked to provide valid location address information for private lactation consultation. Unless specified otherwise, lactation consultation will not take place in the personal residence of Baby's First Choice Lactation Services. This is to ensure the safety and privacy of our staff.
A $20 deposit is due at the time of booking, payable through our website: babysfirstchoicelactationservices.com, or in-person through other means as agreed upon by prospective client(s) and Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
Baby's First Choice Lactation Services accepts the following forms of payment:
Cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express
Credit card transactions can be made payable through our website as noted above, or in-person through direct POS device ("Square") as provided by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
Please note, personal checks are not accepted at this time.
In the event of scheduling changes/modifications, please see our "Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy".
Counseling Session Information
Counseling sessions are performed on an individual basis. As such, fees will be based on a per-person basis. Sessions involving more than 2 non-employees of Baby's First Choice Lactation Services will be viewed as a class, and follow our class billing structure accordingly.
Please note, unlike other lactation consulting/counseling businesses, Baby's First Choice Lactation Services DOES NOT charge clients for consultant travel time. Session "start time" will reflect the scheduled appointment time.
Session "end time" for billable hours will coincide with departure of representative for Baby's First Choice Lactation Services from the counseling location.
If client(s) does not/do not encounter representation of Baby's First Choice Lactation Services within 15 minutes of the "start time" of our booked appointment time, client(s) will forfeit deposit.
Minimum counseling session length is one hour (60 minutes). Additional minutes will be charged in 15-minute increments. An additional 1-15 minutes over the hour will result in an additional $15 to the hourly rate; similarly, an additional 16-30 minutes will be an additional $30 over the hourly rate, and so on until the next hour, at which point the hourly rate will resume, unless otherwise specified by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
Class/Group Information
Clocking for billable hours regarding group breastfeeding classes will begin and end according to the time stated on our class schedule. Classes will be approximately 2 hours in length.
Classes will be in group format, with location(s) outlined in our flyers for distribution.
If client(s) is/are late to class, such will be permitted to enter; however, the full cost of the class will be charged to the client(s).
Attendees are welcome to express milk if necessary; our learning facility has additional lactation space for those needing to express.
Attendees are charged individually. Please speak with Baby's First Choice Lactation Services to discuss auditing guests.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
Policy
If Baby's First Choice Lactation Services Decides to Cancel/Reschedule:
In the event of cancellation or rescheduling by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, every attempt will be made to inform client(s) as soon as possible regarding such changes.
Client(s) will be informed by telephone and or email regarding any changes to scheduled appointments/events.
Cancellations or rescheduling options will be reviewed with client(s) as soon as possible, in order to help ensure timely consultation and avoid missed opportunity. Deposits will be refunded to client(s) in the event of cancellation (should rescheduling not be possible) by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
In the event of rescheduling by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, client(s) is/are given TWO (2) additional dates to receive service(s). If the client(s) does not/do not attend either of the two (2) replacement date options, the deposit will be forfeited to Baby's First Choice Lactation Services. This is to prevent perpetual rescheduling and reduce inconvenience on the part of other clients and Baby's First Choice Lactation Services.
If Cancellation/Rescheduling is Sought by Client(s):
Please inform Baby's First Choice Lactation Services as soon as possible in the event of cancellation. A $20 deposit is due upon booking service(s), and will be refunded to the client(s) if cancellation is reported to Baby's First Choice Lactation Services at least 24 hours before anticipated appointment date/time.
Please note, client cancellation/request to reschedule is valid only by telephone call or email communication to the telephone number and/or email address as noted on our website, babysfirstchoicelactationservices.com. Baby's First Choice Lactation Services' telephone and/or email communication receipt time-stamp will be used as reference for the cancellation/rescheduling request communication's time-frame. This is to prevent false or confused reporting of attempts to cancel/reschedule.
In the event of client request to reschedule, client(s) is/are required to provide TWO (2) additional dates for consideration. Should Baby's First Choice Lactation Services not reschedule the client(s) for either of those two (2) options, the $20 booking deposit will be forfeited by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, and refunded to the client. Should the client(s) fail to provide adequate date alternatives, the $20 booking deposit will be retained by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services on the basis of client(s) being regarded as a "no-show" for the scheduled encounter.
In the event client(s) does not/do not report intent to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before appointment time, the $20 deposit will not be returned to client(s). If client(s) does not/do not appear for the scheduled appointment, the $20 deposit will not be returned to client(s).
Refund/Exchange/Discount/Substitution Policy
Unless stated otherwise by Baby's First Choice Lactation Services, no refunds, exchanges, discounts, or substitutions will be provided.
